During safety assessments, assessing the status of all grounding connections is important. Properly installed grounding connections provide a safe discharge of any excess electrical energy to the ground, reducing the likelihood that any damage is done to the equipment and user by electric shock.


Loosening or absence of grounding connections will result in the equipment being unsafe for user operation.
