A Comprehensive Guide to Emotionally Free from Stress (EFT)

Over the last few years, more people have begun to explore ways of achieving emotional and physical health through natural methods, such as EFT. EFT is based on energy psychology beliefs and focuses on identifying and eliminating emotional blocks (blockages) that negatively impact mental clarity, stress levels, and general health. EFT Testing uses gentle tapping on acupressure points while concentrating your thoughts to help restore balance to your body's energy system.

Understanding How EFT Works in Real Life

The first step in EFT is to identify the exact issue you want to work on. A few common choices may include (but are not limited to) anxiety about a presentation, a negative memory or thought, a physical pain, or another limiting belief.

Once you have identified your issue, you will give it a number between 0 and 10, and this is the measurement of how intensely you feel about the issue. This baseline is critical.

After you have identified your issue and assigned it a number, you will go through the tapping sequence and repeat a "Setup Statement" that acknowledges the issue or thought and affirms yourself.

When you have completed your entire tapping sequence, you will once again give your number (emotional level) for the issue/ thought. This reassessment is what makes EFT different from other modalities - by doing this, you can track your emotional and physical changes throughout the process. You will keep repeating this EFT process until your issue/ thought reaches zero or close to it.

Why the Use of Specificity is Crucial when Doing EFT Testing

One significant aspect of the way in which EFT Testing works is by helping to develop specifically. Generalized statements, such as saying “I feel stressed,” will usually not result in being effectively managed when compared with making a statement about a specific event or thought. By having a much larger/denser amount of data to analyze, it will make it much easier for EFT to tap on the specific emotional charge that you are tapping on.

EFT Testing focuses on the specific event creating the anxiety and then measures how you are feeling towards that particular event to determine where you are making progress with the EFT.

While more people are exploring ways to manage their stress and grow themselves through holistic ways, EFT Testing continues to grow as an accessible and practical option.
